About the ITC SIG

March 23rd, 2013

The International Technical Communication SIG of STC is the professional organization focused on localization, translation, and cross cultural communication for technology.

Activities

The ITC SIG offers members the opportunity to work together toward a better understanding of the international marketplace for technical communication.

Members collaborate on Global Talk by contributing articles and news on localization, translation, and cross cultural communication. Members are invited to join the email list.

SIG leaders are working on global membership initiatives to expand STC membership and service to members worldwide.

At the STC annual conference, the ITC SIG hosts face-to-face meetings for members and prospective members and sponsors sessions and activities with vendors and related organizations. Activities have included the International Pavilion to showcase speakers and topics of interest to SIG members and all attendees, as well as progressions, networking lunches, and business meetings.

How to join

Membership in the ITC SIG is open to STC members only. To see the chapters and SIGs you belong to, log in on the STC site and in the MySTC menu, select Self Service and then Receipt and Membership Card. To join the SIG, call +1 (703) 522-4114 and provide payment information.
